ANTONE ADOMITIS

Antone (Tony) Adomitis, 57, of Tovey, died at 7:45 a.m. May 3, 1984 in St. Vincent's Memorial Hospital in Taylorville. He had been ill in health for about two years.
Mr. Adomitis was born January 11, 1927 in Tovey, the son of John and Mary Yonukus Adamavich and on July 1, 1950, he married Ruth Landers. He was a veteran of World War II and prior to his retirement a year ago, he was a shuttle car operator for Peabody Coal Company #10 for 21 years.
Surviving are his widow, three sons, Tony Lee of Tovey, Dale of Taylorville and Jeffrey of Bulpitt; a daughter Mrs. David (Mary) Daigh of Taylorville, his mother of Taylorville; one brother John of Prospect Heights, Illinois, five grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, with the Rev. Frank Campbell of the St. Rita's Church in Kincaid officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pall Bearers were John and Terry Walker, Gary and Scott Landers and David and Donald Graham.
Burial will be at Harpers Ferry Cemetery at Palmer, Illinois.
