Alice C. Leiden, 87, St. Lawrence, passed away Sunday at home. She was born in New Germany, the daughter of Aloysius and Catherine (Bender) Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Leiden; brothers and sisters: Joan Dumm, Ed Long, Eugene Long, Max Long, Kevin Long and Margie Long.

Alice spent her life as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very involved in the family business and was very active at church, most recently as a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. With an interest in genealogy, she researched and wrote several books on family histories. Throughout her life, she also enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a long time fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. Committal at St. Lawrence Cemetery. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton. Committal at St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Catholic Relief Services; or Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton.
