CATHERINE MANNING
January 14, 1935 ~ February 20, 2023

Catherine Manning, age 88, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died Monday, February 20, 2023, at Elmbrook Home of Hugo.

She was born on Monday, January 14, 1935 to Bayard Otto and Velma Johnson Massey in Holly Creek, Oklahoma.

Catherine loved her family and watched her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow into people with honor and integrity. Catherine was an awesome hostess. She loved and welcomed all who came to her home. Catherine was a marvelous cook and had many wonderful dishes she made but everyone's favorite was her beans and cornbread.

Catherine was also really proud and honored to serve as a volunteer at the hospital as a Pink Lady for 23 years and clocked over 3500 volunteer hours. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend that will be missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed to travel and spent a whole month in Europe going from city to city.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Ray Manning; her daughter, Sandra Lambert and her sister, Kathlene King.

Catherine is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Devonia Manning of Valliant, Oklahoma and John and Kelli Manning of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; her sister, Norma Temple of De Queen, Arkansas; her son-in-law Robert Lambert of Plano, Texas;

Ten grandchildren, Shannon Manning, Keegan Manning, Conlee James, Jadee Manning, Mitchell Manning, Michael Manning, Garrick West, Logan West, Scott Smith, and Jennifer Ellis; twenty three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at the Watson Memorial Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma with Brother Aaron Strange officiating.

Interment will follow in the Watson Cemetery in Oak Hill, Oklahoma under the direction of Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22 from 6-8 P.M. at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, Shannon Manning, Conlee James, Mitchell Manning, Michael Manning, Garrick West, Logan West and Keegan Manning.
