Services for Mrs. Murtie PARSLEY, 95, of Vian were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Vian Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw under the direction of the Agent Funeral Home. Mrs. PARSLEY was born to Marshall R. MATTHEWS and Nancy Jane LEWIS MATTHEWS on April 8, 1890, in Jasper, Ark. She died Sunday, Aug. 4, 1985, in the Vian Nursing Home. Mrs. PARSLEY and her husband, Samuel L. PARSLEY, were married Aug. 18, 1906, in Longtown. He preceded his wife in death. Survivors include three daughters, Lucy, Mary and Velma; three sisters, Mary and Bertha and Grace; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
