MOCKSVILLE –
Mr. Thomas Beal Ijames, 89, of Pine Ridge Road, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.
He was born on September 3, 1933, in Davie County, to the late William Marion and Colean Correll Ijames.
Mr. Ijames was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict and retired from Ingersoll Rand. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Wagner Ijames; two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include four children, Dale Ijames (Kelly) of Landis, Randy Dean Ijames of Mocksville, Keith Ijames (Lisa) of Gold Hill, and John Martin Ijames of Mocksville; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janet Trexler (Donald) of Cooleemee, Joann McDaniel of Murphy, and Nellie Waller of Mocksville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m., Thursday, November 3, at Legion Memorial Park in Cooleemee with Pastor Tyler Spry officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., at Eaton Funeral Home.
