Daughter of Hobart Pierce and Mary Gaines Pierce. She had lived the greater part of the life in Rockmart and was a longtime member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, DeJuana Faye Smith; and brother, Richard Pierce. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Tonya Smith of Dallas, GA; granddaughter, Mauri Burnette and her husband, Alex, of Marietta, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Strickland of Rockmart, Linda and Cecil Reddish of Cedartown, GA, June and Homer Hubbard of Huntsville, AL, and Jackie and Dennis Newby of Rome; and brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Janice Pierce of Rockmart.
