Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Sue Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Claremont.
Mrs. Kimmel was born December 9, 1906, in Richland County, the daughter of Charles Abe and Daisy (Mercer) Mitchell. She married A.J. Kimmel on November 14, 1931. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1985.
She was a homemaker and had worked at International Shoe Factory in Olney. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rebecca Lodge and RMH Auxiliary.
Mrs. Kimmel is survived by her niece, Julia Smith and her husband, Clarence, of Olney; nephew, Carl Mitchell, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; niece, Carol Mitchell, of Bedford, Ind.; several great-nieces and -nephews, including Kara Duncan and her husband, Roger, and Kevin Rector; and several great-great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Velma Fritschle Dressel and Wilma Fritschle; and brothers, Bill Mitchell and Loren Mitchell.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Fund or Olney Public Library.
