He was a business owner of Sav-A-Lot in Madisonville, Vac-N-Sew in Madisonville, and many grocery businesses in Benton, KY, Clarksville, TN, and Hopkinsville, KY. He loved woodworking, drawing, painting, and music. His true passion was telling others about Jesus. He was a member of Grace Fellowship.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Shelton.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Annette Outlaw Shelton; daughter, Alice Marie Luckett of Madisonville; sons, Andrew (Laura) Ryan Shelton of Dallas, TX , Alex (Angela) Shelton of Birmingham, AL, and Aaron Shelton of Louisville, KY; brother, Roger Shelton of Madisonville; grandchildren, Tyler, Alexis, Ethan, Will, and Kinley; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Grace Fellowship Church, 260 W. McLaughlin Avenue, Madisonville, KY, with Pastor Phillip McCoy officiating. Burial to follow at Ford Cemetery in Benton, KY. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service hour Sunday at the church.
