Howard Benjamin Tingle, 90, formerly of Victor, died of natural causes 11 January 1995 at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. He was born 29 August 1904 in Cullman, Alabama to Thomas and Lavina Harbison Tingle. 5 July 1930, he married June Wilson. The couple lived and worked in six western states, including a car dealership in Salmon, Idaho and their own ranch in the Big Hole Area. They moved to Victor in 1986 and following his wife's death in 1994, Howard lived near his children in Provo, Utah and Polson, Montana. For many years Howard owned his own airplane and enjoyed mountain flying. He was especially fond of the many wilderness adventures. Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Lee Bolton of Provo, Utah; a son, Tom Tingle, of Polson, Montana; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11:00 Monday, 16 January, at the Salmon Cemetery in Salmon,Idaho. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Dowling Funeral Home of Hamilton, Montana.
