Waynesville, Evelyn Mae Hurst Buchanan-McClure, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Tennessee, she was a daughter of Milas Hurst and Willa Mae Lockhart Hurst. She was preceded in death by her dear husband, Samuel McClure, who died in December 2019 as well as her siblings, Jessie Glenn, Faye Kennedy, Geraldine Littrell, and Jack Hurst.

Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Karen Rumple (Phil) and Kathey Crawford (Raul Valdiviez); three grandchildren, Jason Crawford, Kimberly Rumple, and Jennifer Crawford; six great-grandchildren, Madison Worley, Paige Crawford, Andrew Worley, Serenity Crawford, Madi-Jo Crawford, and very special great-grandson, Dalton Crawford; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Barry Willett officiating.
