The middle son of the late Marion Bennett, Jr. and Mary Helen Eckhart Bennett, Earl was a graduate of Minford High School Class of 1969. He was a Carpenter by trade, working many years alongside his grandfather, Marion Bennett, Sr., father, Marion Bennett, Jr., and brothers for Marion Bennett Construction. He was also co-owner of DeMexican Pizzeria and owner of several rental properties.

Earl was later employed by Scioto County Engineers Office holding several positions until his retirement.

Following retirement, Earl spent winters in Florida where he enjoyed bicycling, gardening and fishing. He was an artist with many talents and enjoyed working on projects in his workshops.

In addition to his parents, Earl was predeceased by a nephew, Jeremy Burgett, and a niece, Elli Bennett.

Earl is survived by his wife of 47 years, DeLynn Bennett and daughter, Kristin Bennett and her husband, Benjamin Whetstine; one grandson, Lucas Whetstine; two brothers, Dennis (Diane) Bennett, Randy (Peggy Havens) Bennett, and one sister, Angie (Doug) Kilby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, including Andy, Scott, Adam, Amanda, Wendy, Lindsay, Craig, Zachary and Heather; great nieces and great nephews, including and special to him, Kinsley, Grant, Connor and Graham.

A private memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. Arrangements are under the direction of Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
