Bernard King, 80, of LaGrange, died Sunday at his home.

The graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shadowlawn Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. King was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Heard County, son of Eula and David King. He was a farmer, delivered The LaGrange News for 39 years and retired from the Dixie Division of WestPoint Pepperell after over 34 years. He was a member of Sunny Side Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey; two daughters, Bernice Allen and Elaine Pendl, both of LaGrange; three brothers, Horace King and John King, both of LaGrange, and Robert King of Newnan; three sisters, Mary Durrough of Newnan, Annie Ruth Williamson of Carrollton and Doris Mosley of Forest Park; three grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
