Born September 30, 1947, Marion Louise Boudreaux Thomas, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Helen Boudreaux, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 6, 2023.

Marion is survived by her three children, Carroll James Thomas Jr. (Jimmy) and his wife, Lois, of Las Vegas, NV., Terry Louise Landry and her soulmate, Alan, of Breaux Bridge, LA., and Avery Joseph Thomas (Donnye) and his wife, Desiree, of Butte La Rose, LA., sister Dianna Boudreaux Whiles and her husband, Danny, of Mobile, A; her longtime partner of 32 years, Barney M. Leblanc, of Cecilia, LA.; and eight grandchildren, Justin Thomas, Natalie Thomas, Molly Thomas, Zack Thomas, Adilyn Bernard, Aleya Bernard, Ashley Bernard and Ambria Bernard.

She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Mike Boudreaux and Elliot Paul Boudreaux; and a grandson, Carter Ward Thomas.

Marion waitressed at Evangeline Steakhouse and Seafood for 35 years. She enjoyed the crowd and serving her community. Known for being a hard-headed, strong-willed, and tough woman, she was also kind, caring, and loving. As a single mother of three, she raised her children by making ends meet and then some. All her life she humbly faced one battle after another with courage and determination like a warrior to overcome whatever was thrown her way. She even fought and survived stomach cancer twice.

Marion will forever be remembered as an outstanding citizen to her community, but even more so as an amazing mother, sister, companion, grandmother and friend. She will always be in the hearts of family and friends whose lives she touched. Memories of her will forever be cherished and she will be remembered as the toughest woman on earth.
