FORMER BEAVER SPRINGS MAN DIED HERE SUNDAY
Jacob O. Smeltzer died at the home . of his son, D. Frank. Smeltzer, town, Sunday evening after an - illness of four months due to a complication of diseases. His age was 75 years, 10 months and 5 days.
Deceased was a son of George and Catharine Smeltzer, born September 8, 1858 and was married to Mary E. Rumbaugh of near Millerstown, December 7, 1880, who preceded him in death. Mr. Smeltzer had been a resident of the Beaver Springs community a number of years, but had lived in this community the past nine years.
Survivors are three sons. D. Frank. Smeltzer, Elizabethville, G. B.Smeltzer, Lewistown: McCllan.Smeltzer, Beavertown; two brothers, John Smeltzer, Elizabethville; H. C. Smeltzer, Manheim and two sisters, Mrs. John Newkirk of Harrisburg and Mrs. Lydia Groff of Elizabethville.
Funeral services will be held from the home of his son, East Main Street town, at ten o'clock this Thursday morning. Rev. J. M. Walters, pastor of Trinity United Brethren church will officiate and interment will be made at Beaver Springs..
