Mrs. Verna Delores Bell (Brown), went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2022. A loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born on June 23, 1935 in Dallas, Texas.

Verna attended Sexton High School in Lansing, Michigan, where she excelled in academics, as well as WMU in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

She was an employee of The City of Lansing's 54-A District Court for over 40 years retiring in 2005.

In her passing, Verna was preceded in death by: her mother, Fleta Mae Daniels (Woodward); dad, Richard Brown of Texas; stepdad, Jerry R. Daniels of Texas; a grandson; former husband, Essie (LC) Bell; and several cousins.

Our beloved Mother leaves to cherish her memory: son's, Richard and Derek; daughter, Terrilyn; grandson, Martell; brother, Curtis Alvin Daniels (Cynthia) of Texas; two sisters and another brother (Brown); cousin, Alvin Grimes and family of Detroit, and a special mention, Michelle D. Cannon of Lansing.
