Anita M. Barra, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 28, 2023. She was born on March 6, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Anton and Amelia Mae Barra,
She was a member of Gracepoint Church and was a beloved Aunt and animal lover. She retired after 52 years as a Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her sisters, Alana Barra, Adela Cooper and Amelia Sowders; room mate for 25 years, Barbara Kuhn; three nephews; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces; and numerous great-great nephews and great-great-nieces. She was preceded in death by a niece.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home - 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis. She will be laid to rest at Concordia Cemetery, Indianapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the donor's choice.
