Marion V. Wilson Prather, 80, of Marietta, died Wednesday at West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home Inc., LaGrange, with burial in Shadowlawn Cemetery, LaGrange.

Mrs. Prather was born Oct. 10, 1914, in LaGrange, daughter of Lottie Woodyard and Homer Virgil Wilson Sr. A resident of Marietta since 1944, she was the former owner and operator of Prather's Red Star Market, and a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Marijayne Layne of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Virginia Weldon of Marietta; a son, Thomas E. Prather Jr. of Acworth; three sisters, Frances Steckiel, Minnie Claire Wilson, and Lucille Wilson, all of LaGrange; two brothers, William W. ''Abie'' Wilson and Thomas E. Wilson Sr., both of LaGrange; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
