J.W. "Jake" Alexander, affectionately known as Jake, passed away February 1, 2023 in Anna, Texas at the age of 89. He was born to J.T. and Florence (Robison) Alexander on April 10, 1933 in Weinert, Texas.
J.W worked as a farmer in Weinert and later as a businessman and entrepreneur in McKinney. He attended the Church of God in Melissa. He was a true outdoorsman. J.W. enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and traveling on cruise ships. The most important earthly thing to him was family. He loved his Savior and his church as well.
J.W. is survived by his son, Rodger D. Alexander of Leonard, Texas; son, Terry G. Alexander and wife, Connie of Telephone, Texas; grandchildren, Christi Hunt-Smith and husband, Gary of Ivanhoe, Texas, and Dr. Benjamin J. Alexander of Bonham, Texas; sister, Charlene Alexander Harlan of Normagee, Texas; great grandchildren, Conley, Dalton, and Anna Lee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Florence Alexander, and wife, Joyce Alexander.
