Born Zoé Suzanne Brousseau in St Pierre, Ontario, Canada. She later went by Zowa Bruso as the family changed the spelling of their name from French Canadian to American.

Married Joseph McCormick in 1882 and had two children Henry and Fred.
Married Forra Meeker in 1892 in Essex, Canada.
Possibly married Harman in 1893 or 1894 according to her marriage certificate with Barker.
Married George Barker Jr in Chicago, IL in 1895.

Her parents names, Joseph Bruso and Susan Trudell, are listed on each of her marriage records and she consistently stated her most recent married name. Divorce records have been difficult to locate, most likely due to the record keeping methods of the time.

She died from gastritis in Chicago in 1902. Her mother and husband George were present at the coroner's inquest as a witness on her medical examiner's record. There was an investigation into how she was cared for at the time of her death but they ruled no wrongdoing. Her son Fred's July 1903 St Clair, Michigan obituary references his mother's recent December death in Chicago.

The grave plot information is directly from Forest Home Cemetery records.
