Richard Lowell Amber was born on March 6, 1930, in Wabash, Indiana to Lowell Scott Amber and Marie Eliza (Barnes) Amber. He passed from this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in Richardson, Texas at the age of 92 years.

Richard was raised and educated in Urbana, Indiana and graduated with Urbana High School Class of 1948. After high school, he enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1954 and attended Tulsa Drafting College, where he earned a certificate in drafting.

He was married on February 10, 1955, in Tulsa to Marilyn Dolores (Williamson) Amber. Richard spent most of his working life as a machinist with McElroy Manufacturing in Tulsa. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and collecting clocks.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, Oklahoma.
