Helen Ruth (Berkey) Knupke, 96, of Huron joined her husband Wayne in heaven on Sunday, January 8, 2023.
She was born on June 20, 1926, in Penfield, PA and was the daughter of George and Sarah (Liddick) Berkey. On September 1, 1945, she married Wayne Knupke at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sandusky, Ohio.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She worked at the former Hinde and Dauch, Philco, and as cafeteria manager for Huron High School. Helen loved gardening, playing pinochle, collecting angels, and cooking for family get togethers. In her younger days, she and Wayne were members of the Belles and Bows Square Dance Club.
She is survived by her daughter, her son, ; five grandchildren, ; seven greatgrandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; and one sister. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wayne who passed away August 6, 2017; her daughter, Judy Knupke; sisters, Mabel Gilbert, Margaret Jesberger, Gladys Merrick, Lois Huff, and Gladine Berkey; and brothers, Raymond Berkey, Edward Berkey, and Robert Berkey.

am on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Pastor DaveBrown will officiate. Entombment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
