James Ray Burnett August 16, 1944 - February 1, 2023
James Ray Burnett was born August 16, 1944, to Fred Alvin and Nora Elizabeth (Cantrell) Burnett in Cushing, Oklahoma. He departed this life February 1, 2023, at the age of 78 years. James was united in marriage to Pamela Smith on July 3, 2004 in Independence, Missouri. Pam preceded him in death on January 8, 2009. James was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He had been a truck driver for many years, hauling moving and storage items. James was a model train enthusiast and collected diecast model cars. Survivors include his two sons, Shane Burnett of Glencoe and David Burnett of Stillwater; one sister, Theresa Skinner of Cushing and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by three sisters, Ellen Harris, Linda Coffman and Mary Lou Carter and one baby sister, Sandra Burnett. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 13, 2023, in the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
