Word was received here of the death this morning of Fred J. Burghart, 67, of Colorado Springs (Colorado). Burghart was in a car accident last Saturday. He would have been 68 years old next month, it was reported.
He was a brother of Henry, William, Ed and Albert Burghart and Mrs. William Bussman all of near Chanute.
The body will be brought to Leanna and funeral services held at the Leanna church Friday afternoon. The hour of the servie was not given today. Burial will be in the Leanna Cemetery.

Funeral services for Fred Burghart of Colorado Springs, who died Tuesday of injuries received in an automobile accident last Saturday were held Friday afternoon at the Leanna Church. The Rev. E.A. Ham of the First Christian Church officated. Burial was in Leanna Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. James Alford, Mrs. M.J. Roiberts and George Alford, accompanied by Mrs. George Alford, sang "GatheringHome," "Have Thine Own Way" and "The Old Rugged Cross." The followers were arranged by Mr. and mrs. Robert Johnson and Phil and Ed Rettig. Pallbearers were Arthur, Lester, Raymond, Ralph and Herbert Burghart and Ed. Bussman.
Out of town persons attending were Mr. F.J. Burghart and Mrs. Roy Burghart of Colorado Springs, Clara Burghart of Kearny, N.J., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burghart and Bobby of Kansas City, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stoelzing of Wellington, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Koehler and Edna and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pohl of Lawrence, Herbert Burghart of St. Louis, Wilma Burghart of McCune and Mrs. Ruth Hatfield and Barbara of Stark.
