Funeral services for Carl Piersol, 75, who died yesterday at his home in Murphytown, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Leavitt funeral home. The Rev. E.J. Roberts will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Born in Murphytown, March 22, 1887, he was the son of the late Jerry and Fannie Piersol. He had been associated with the oil and gas business from early youth. He was a member of the Murphytown Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Vera Nowery Piersol; two sons, Bill E. Piersol, Belpre, and Nowery Piersol, Murphytown; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Willis, N. Canton, O., and Mrs. Ethel Leach, Gladwyn, Pa.; and two grandsons, Carl and George Piersol.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.
