"DONNA MARIE LONG BROWN SPROWLS April 20, 1929 - August 31, 2013; Mrs. Sprowls was born at Marysville, Kansas to the late Lydia Jane Hunter and Robert W. Long. She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught special education.
Surviving, daughters and son-in-law, Becky and Timothy Absher of Mouth of Wilson, VA and Kathleen Marie Petrovich of Oakland, Calif; son, Michael Sprowls of Raytown, Pa; step-daughter, Carolyn Sprowls of Washington, PA;
two sisters, Elaine Long of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Lenora Johnson of Citrus Heights, California, three brothers, Kenneth Long of San Antonio, TX, Gerald Long of Florence, Arizona and Martin Long of Lecompton, Kansas; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Youngs Chapel Baptist Church, Mouth of Wilson, VA;
Rev. Doug Turnmire will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. prior to the service.
