Marilyn Irvin, 87, of Bonnie, Illinois, passed away August 11, 2022 at 9:53 am at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born November 9, 1934 in Jefferson County to the late Norris and Carrie Baker (Shelton). Marilyn married Robert Irvin Sr. on August 3, 1953 in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Robert Irvin Jr. and wife, Marcia of Bonnie, Illinois, Michael Irvin and wife, Cindy of Woodlawn, Illinois; grandchildren, Candi J Shaefer and husband, David of Bonnie, Illinois, Blake Irvin and wife, Kaylyn of Spring Hill, Florida, Brya Scott and husband, Michael of Woodlawn, Christy Hanusek and husband, Chris of Columbia, Illinois, and Courtney Francke and husband, Joe of St. Louis, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Wade and Cody Shaefer, McClain and Corbin Cermmin, Lexi Scott, Emberlyn Irvin, and Lucas, Atlee and JJ Francke; and sister, Betty Wells of Waltonville.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy McAdoo and one granddaughter, Megan Irvin.
Marilyn was a member of Ina Freewill Baptist Church and was very active in the church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and great-grandmother, loved taking pictures, reading and working jigsaw puzzles. She loved her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Private burial.
