Renita Rae (Brooks) Demarest. 87, of Evansville, IN was born to the late Bailey and Maude Brooks on November 30, 1935. She passed away on January 23, 2023.
Renita loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids. She grew up and resided in Howell, and was a long-time member of Howell General Baptist Church. Renita enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping, playing the piano, and capturing family memories. She had a deep love for her Lord.
Renita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dorval Randall Demarest; son, Randy Demarest; brothers, Gerald and Charles Brooks.
She is survived by daughters; Beth Mortis (Don Buse), Patti Shade (Rick); her late son's fiancé, Kristie Kirsch; grandchildren, Craig Timmons (Joy), Amanda Demarest Phillips (Jeremy), Paige Mortis Hostettler (Joshua), Bailey Mortis, Lee Mortis (Aurelia Solis), Caleb Garrett (Sara), Seth Garrett (Heather), Logan Garrett (Ciera); and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Howell General Baptist Church, 1520 Delmar Ave., Evansville IN 47712. Brother Terry Gamblin will officiate and burial will be in Alexander Memorial Park. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
