James Agosta, 89, passed away on July11, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born on October 23, 1916 in Independence, Kansas, the son of Frank and Jennie Agosta.

James moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona 13 years ago from Downey, CA; and he worked as a bodyman for 50 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. James was a member of Eagles Aerie #4299, VFW Post #9401, American Legion Post #81 and BPOE Lodge #2399 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He loved big pasta dinners with his family and classical music. James would swing by the Eagles everyday before shopping at Safeway for fresh baked bread on his way home. He liked to listen to old records on the record player in the garage.

James is survived by his loving family, wife of 59 years Lucille Agosta of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; son James Agosto of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; daughters Laura Thor (Ed) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Gina Kean of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sisters Jeannie and Rose, grandchildren Jessica, Jared (Tara), Christopher, Jennifer (Jeremy), Jamie, Ryan (Lisa) and great grandchildren Gabriel, Kole, Kaydin and Emma. He was preceded in death by his brothers Moss, Vito, Frank, Paul, John, Louie, and sister Sue.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2006 from 6 – 8 pm at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with a rosary being said at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday July 13, 2006 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be presented by VFW Post #9401 and American Legion Post #81.
