Funeral Services for Thomas Willis Acre were hold Thursday March 31, 1988 at the Sayre First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Ray Smart officiating.
Willis the son of George McDonald and Annie Lee Acree was born April 200,(sic) 1928, south of Sayre and passed away March 29, 1988 in the Heritage Nursing Center in Amarillo, TX. at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 9 days.
On November 8, 1949 he married Alice Juanita Gibson in Sayre, OK. and they lived in Sayre until 1954 when they moved Perryton, TX. until 1965 when they moved to Woodward, Ok. They moved to Sayre in 1966.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita of the home, one daughter, Annie Elizabeth Phebus Dewees and on son, Thomas Allen Acree, both of Sayre, OK.
He is also survived by his father-in-law, Troy Gibson of Sayre; four brothers, Clarence of Frutia, Colorado, Jim of Dallas, TX., Carl of Sayre, OK., and Vern of Torrence, CA. and three sisters, Fannie Ross of Waterford, CA., Syble Acree of Riverside, Ca., Betty Hawkins of Amarillo, TX. and also one grandaughter,(sic) April Dawn, two step-grandaughters,(sic) Brandy and Christy.
Burial was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre.
