Henry William Shugars, 75, of 8 Hill Street, a resident of Bradford and McKean County for nearly his entire life, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bradford Hospital, where he had been a patient since June 27.
He was born April 7, 1889, at Shawmut, PA, and moved to Bradford as a young man. For a number of years he was employed by Allegany State Park.
Surviving were four sons, James, Peter and Leonard of Bradford and Donald of Belford, South Carolina; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Webster, and Mrs. Ruth Bailey of Walton, New York, Mrs. Violet Nearing of Connecticut, and Mrs Mae Shelley of Belford, South Carolina.
His funeral services were held at the Koch-Chatley Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Roland Tovey of the First Free Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was made in Mt. Church Cemetery at Brockport.
