Robert Herbert "Bob" Trueax 81 of Boise, died Dec. 3, 1993, at home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7 at the Cloverdale Funeral Home. The Rev. William Neuman, chaplain of Mountain States Tumor Institute, will officiate. Private family entombment will be in Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens.

 

Robert was born May 16, 1912 in Lane County, Ore. Where he received his education. As a teen-ager, he moved to the Bend, Ore. Area where he lived until his mid-twenties, when he moved to Spokane, Wash. Where he own and operated Bob's Auto Service.

 

He married Georgia D. Ertle on Dec. 6, 1941 at Couer d'Alene, Idaho. They returned to Bend, Ore. Where he too employment with Pacific Trailways bus lines a driver. They moved to Weiser, Idaho, in 1944, and later moved to Boise in 1948. He was a driver for Pacific Trailways for 33 years until his retirement in 1977.

 

During his retirement he enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and traveling with his wife and family.

 

Bob was a self-sufficient man, having built the family home from scratch, and always repairing automobiles for family and friends as well as his own. He enjoyed gardening, and was know for his applesauce and green beans. He always surprised other with his subtle sense of humor. His family always came first, and he will be greatly missed.

 

Survivors include his wife, Georgia of Boise; a daughter, Carol E. Smith of Boise; a son and daughter-in-law, William G. and Rande Trueax of Boise; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet D. and David W. Wilson of Boise; grandchildren, Evan, Kyle, and Shannon Smith, Brenda Stansbery, Kenny Trueax, Ben, Margie, and Martha Joy Wilson, and Sally Zanders, all of Boise; and two sisters, Alice Trueax, and Helen Workman, both of Portland, Ore. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

 

The family suggests that memorials may be made to St. Luke's Hospice, 151 E. Bannock St., Boise 83712; or flowers may be sent.

 

Friends may call today from 2 to 6 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise.
