WENDELL H. MADOLE

Wendell H. Madole, 75, of 1522 Shady Lane, died Tuesday, July 14, at Allen Memorial Hospital of cardiac arrest. He was born July 19, 1916, in Union, son of Gaylord and Eva Hammer Madole. He married Irene "Peggy" Smith on March 29, 1940, in Cedar Falls. Mr. Madole was employed with Rock Island Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1979. Survivors include his wife; a brother, La Verne; and two sisters, Arlene Clock and Ione Berger; he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church, the Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
