Kay was born in Asheville, NC, on February 8, 1937, the fifth child of Kathryn Bradford Mulvaney and Frank McKenna Mulvaney. She attended Lee Edwards High School, where she was a member of the cheerleading and dance teams and homecoming queen. She enjoyed her work at Grace Ridge Retirement Community and at Mimosa Boat Landing with her husband Dewey. She always doted over her grandchildren, sharing photos and memories at every opportunity.
Kay is survived by: her husband, Dewey Allen and siblings Frank Mulvaney, Mary Ann Morris, and Marjorie Hagan; sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Pam Roland and Bobby and Leslie Roland; step-children Mary Elizabeth Propst (Steve), Tim Allen (Janet), Beverly Allen, and Tom Allen; grandchildren Katie, Rusty, Ashley, and Robert, and great grandchildren Kasey and Mia.
Kay is predeceased by her parents and brother Joe Mulvaney, and granddaughter, Shawn Kellie Roland.
