James Edward McCall is my eldest brother. He died suddenly in Denver, Colorado while delivering a load with his commercial truck. He was found unresponsive by some of the trucking employees who attempted to do CPR on him to no avail. An ambulance was called, but they were unable to defibrillate him by the time he arrived at the emergency room. James was born in Germany where my dad was stationed with the US Army. After my dad was honorably retired from the army after serving 22 years, we moved to Macon, Georgia in 1966. We brothers had a great childhood growing up in Macon. James passed from this earth on January, 20, 2023. James was predeceased by his parents James E. McCall and Ersilia Antonia Garbin McCall and son Roberto "Beto" McCall. James is survived by his wife Teresa (Carillo) McCall; brothers Robert (Olga) McCall and George (Laurie) McCall; His son, James E. McCall III, daughter Ersilia "Cecy" McCall; sons Ricardo (Rick) McCall, Armando McCall and George Daniel McCall; several grand children, several step children, and nieces and nephews. James was a commercial truck driver who loved being on the open roads all over America. In 1990, James was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving America for 15 years. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and he had a gregarious personality and never "sugar coated" his opinions on any subjects, especially politics. James loved America and what America stood for, but he saw the direction America was headed under the current administration in the White House, and he was not happy about it. He was an awesome big brother to Robert and me during our childhood in Macon, Georgia. James will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest In Peace, big brother and know that you are loved and will be missed.
