Eld. Jasper H. Harding
Among our Vermont ministers, the subject of this sketch is one of the oldest. He was born in Pomfret, Vt., July 31, 1828, and is therefore approaching eighty-two years of age. On the sixth of last January, Bro. and Sister Harding...passed the sixtieth anniversary of their marriage. This is a remarkable record, and the pleasant journey of these two hearts, commenced in 1850, still continues, though in the feebleness of age.
Eight children were born to their home, but five of them have passed to the dark valley. Of the remaining three, the daughter, Sister Ruby (Harding) Davis, now residing at Lakeport, N. H.
Bro. Harding resides at Strafford, Vt. with a son, while another son is pastor of the Free Baptist church at Gilford, N. H.
