Indiana Evening Gazette (Indiana, Pennsylvania) > 1948 > March > 15: Edward Allsopp, Sr, a resident of Clymer for the past 33 years, died Sunday morning, March 14, in the Indiana Hospital. He was born in Houcksdale on Jan. 3, 1875. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. William Woodings, of Verona, Mrs. David Matthews of Philadelphia, Edward Allsopp, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, Mrs. Gerald Parks of Clymer, Clifford Allsopp of Portland, OR, Miss Effie Allsopp of Corning, NY, Mrs. Thomas Stull of Corning, NY; a step-daughter, Mrs. Arthur Goodall, of Reading; a step-son, Irving Hetrick of Reading. Also surviving are a sister, Lavania Allsopp; a half brother, Samuel Haines, of Youngstown, OH; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA. {Note: He was married to Mrs. Effie Graffius Hetrick, widow of James B. Hetrick. His mother Elizabeth Woodings was born in England and his Henry Allsopp, from England}
