Eunice Elaine Junkins, 87, of Frostburg and formerly of Lonaconing, died Thursday, January 12, 2023 at her residence with her grandson at her side. Born on May 27, 1935 she was the daughter of the late David Moffatt and Alice (McCormick) Moffatt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Junkins, her son, Steven Junkins and two brothers, David Moffatt and Richard Moffatt and wife Bernadine.
Eunice was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing. She was a graduate of Central High School and continued her education at Frostburg State University, where she earned her master's in education. She went on to teach at several local schools including, George's Creek Elementary School and Westmar Middle School. She was very smart and very crafty. She loved to travel and was always on the go. Her favorite place to visit was Daytona Beach, FL. She was a loving person and would help anyone anyway she could.
She is survived by her grandson, Steven Junkins II and wife Felicia; two great-granddaughters, Riley and Bailey Junkins; several nieces and nephews including nephew, Rick Moffatt and wife Linda and special friend, Bob Miller.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Marjorie Hurder-Buhrman officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, where she and her son, Steven will join her beloved husband, Jack.
