She was born April 20, 1914 in Richfield to Charles Lorenzo and Dora Ann Coons Ogden. She married Max Ray Evans on Oct. 2, 1933 in Richfield. The marriage was solemnized April 26, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple, he preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1972. Helen is a life long resident of Richfield where she attended schools and graduated from Richfield High School. She was an active member of the LDS Church where she served faithfully in many capacities, including: stake and ward Primary presidency, stake and ward Relief Society presidency, a Sunday school teacher, MIA teacher, served a mission to San Diego, CA. from 1976 to 1978. She was an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple and was involved with the Danish name extraction program for 8 ½ years. She was a member and officer of the Richfield Study Club and was selected as Club Woman of the Year for 1990. She worked in the Sevier Valley Hospital and also Christensen's Department Store for many years. In addition, she marked quilts for years. She loved her family and was proud of each one.

She is survived by her children: McRay (Delone) Evans of Bozeman, MT; Dale J. (Carma) Evans of Cedar City; Gale (Verl) Conder of Richfield; Marjorie (Val) Jensen of Taylorsville; Charles H. (Margo) Evans of Central Valley; John T. (Desra) Evans of Richfield; son-in-law, Morgan (Marsha) Busk of Richfield; 38 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Nielsen of Springville; Doradean (Kenneth) Hendrickson of Richfield; sisters-in-law, Cherril Ogden and Anna Mae Ogden both of Richfield.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Ruth Busk; brothers, Garth Ogden, Grant Ogden, Woodrow Ogden, Homer Ogden, Reed Ogden, Lavor Ogden; grandchildren, David Evans and Denise Garff.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the Richfield 1st, 3rd, 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 985 South 400 West, with Bishop Carl M. Holmes of the Richfield 5th Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary in Richfield, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
