Augusta was the daughter of August Turk and Augusta Minster. She was married to Rudolph Lindeman on 19 June 1909 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manistee. They were the parents of 10 children; Harry, Myrtle, Harvey, Richard, Kathy, Awald, Elmer, Alfred, Alice and Geraldine.
