Guy E. Fisher, Jr., 87, of Colt, Arkansas, died on Friday, January 13, 2023, at home.
Mr. Fisher was born in Pine Tree, Arkansas, on December 26, 1935, to the late Guy E. Fisher, Sr. and Alean Mae Devazier Fisher. He married Nina Marie Walter in 1953 and they had three children, Tim, Debbie, and Dewayne. He owned three grocery stores in Arkansas and one in Missouri with one being Fishers IGA in Wynne. In 2000, Mr. Fisher retired from the grocery business and closed his Wynne store. He served on the Cross County Bank Board of Directors for many years.
He is survived by son, Tim Fisher and wife Becky of Wynne, daughter, Debbie Meadows and husband Ray of Wynne, brother, Alvin Fisher and wife Sherrie of Forrest City, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy E. Fisher, Sr. and Alean Mae Devazier Fisher, wife, Nina Marie Fisher in 2022, and son, Dewayne Fisher.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 16, 2023, from 10 AM until 12 PM at Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM with Bro. Gerald Britton officiating. Burial will be in Crosslawn Cemetery.
