Betty Jane Carpenter, 90, passed away October 23, 2010. Betty was born in Coshocton, OH, and moved to Akron in 1957. She retired from North Hill Pharmacy after many years of service. Betty was the youngest of 8 children and many of her siblings were Salvation Army Officers. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Carpenter (1974); and her son, Bill Carpenter. She is survived by son, Bob "Carp" (Kaye) Carpenter of Florida; grandson, John Carpenter of LA, California; and sister-in-law and caregiver Judy (Rex) McVicker. Cremation has taken place.
