Horace C. (Timie) James, 78, of 1434 N. Water St., who was awarded the French Croix de Guerre in World War I, was pronounced dead at Decatur and Macon County Hospital at 5:50 pm yesterday.

Mr. James, a former Illinois Central Railroad brakeman, was married five years ago to Ellen Grunloh of Berlin, Germany.

He leaves his wife, sons Morris, Decatur, Harold, Evansville; stepson Tony and step-daughters Teresa and Norma, all of Decatur.

His obituary was published in the Decatur Sunday Herald and Review, 18 Jan 1959, page 5.
