Danny W. Brooks, born in Burlington N.C. on September 29, 1957, passed unexpectedly at his home on January 5, 2023.

Danny was the owner and operator of Rapidan Radio Communications, with his family, for over 30
years. He was an avid sportsman, loved Tar Heel Football, shooting competitively and playing Texas Hold Em every chance he got.

Danny was a "Champion Marksman" and his legacy surrounds the sport of 1000 yard benchrest
shooting. He was a member of the IBS (International Benchrest Shooters) and developed an unmatched skill that earned him 3 National Championships, Shooter of the Year, numerous match wins and several Perfect Score targets. Danny and his late wife Lee, spent countless hours at the range together and were always eager to steward the rising shooters with a few tips and tricks.

Danny is preceded in death by wife Ora Lee (Carter) Brooks, his parents Glenda and Warren Brooks, and his brother Samuel Brooks.

He is survived by his children, Joshua C. Brooks,(Rachael), Cary A. Stanley, (Jason). Five grandchildren, Winston C. Brooks, Jason Jr, Jonathan, Mikayla, and Sadie Stanley. Danny spent the last 13 years with his sweetheart Elizabeth "Liz" Harrison and dearly cherished their time together.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Found and Sons
Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Hillcrest Cemetery, 175 Oak Leaf Dr, Louisa, VA 23093.
