Obituary for Elizabeth Gayle Cheatham
Elizabeth Gayle Cheatham, 73, of Broken Arrow, OK passed away from this life on Friday, January 6, 2023. Gayle was born on July 18, 1949, to Glenn Combs and Mary Elizabeth Earp in Tulsa, OK. She was a 1967 graduate from Owasso High School. She married Jimmie Cheatham on February 2, 1987, in Broken Arrow, OK.

If anyone knew Gayle, they would know that family was a huge part in her life. From spending time with her grandkids, watching them play sports or going to Branson with her husband Jim. Family always played a big role in Gayle's life.

Gayle had a strong faith in Christ, she was an avid church goer and was a member of the Arrow Heights Baptist Church.

If Gayle was relaxing at home, you could find her watching and rooting for her favorite team the St Louis Cardinals.

Gayle is survived by her son Michael Southern and wife Julie, step daughter Julie Hink and husband Phillip, step daughter Lisa Schanck and husband Mark, step daughter Marilyn Adkins and husband Fred, step son Steve Cheatham and wife Dee, sister Marilyn Magnesio and husband Joe, sister Marsha Goodson, sister Brenda Peters and husband Ronnie, sister Linda Tilley Dohn and husband Andy, grandchildren; Sophia Southern, Lily Southern, Audrey Southern, Jack Southern, Preston Adkins, Kaitlin Adkins Alexander, Whitney Hink Hester, Katie Hink Tate, Sam Hink, Hunter Roper, Hayley Roper Brooks, Holly Schanck, Justin Cheatham, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host friends and loved ones.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Gayle is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Bruce Cheatham and son Matthew Scott Southern.

Memorial service will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Green officiating.
