Agnes D. Corpening, 92 of Zirconia NC went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on January 6, 2023.

She was a native of Henderson County. She was preceded in death by her parents Harley Taylor & Ellie Taylor Cheatwood, three brothers, Glenn Taylor, Argie Taylor & Manuel Taylor and her husband Elmer Ray Corpening son Johnny Corpening, grandson Eric Corpening.

She is survived by her two children, Donna Raye Corpening Clayton (Eddie) & Jerry G. Corpening (Judy), two sisters Ludith Capps, Nadine Eggers and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Agnes was an active member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church for many years. She worked for J.P. Stevens of Tuxedo NC until her retirement.

A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at eleven o'clock in the morning at the Chapel in the Pines of Jackson Funeral Service with the Reverend Eddie Clayton and Reverend Homer Maybin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

The family has entrusted Jackson funeral service with the arrangements.
