Obituary:
Services for Tommy Le Caldwell, 44, who died Sunday, will be held at 1pm Thursday in Enoree Baptist Church in Newberry, SC. The Rev. Benjamin Brewer will officiate. Burial will be in church cemetery. Graveside rites will be conducted by members of Friendship Masonic Lodge No. 18. A native of Newberry and a former employee of Hopkins Construction Co., Mr. Caldwell had lived in Asheville for 21 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susie Caldwell; a son, Silas of Asheville; two daughters, Mrs. Louella Tucker and Miss Louise Caldwell of Asheville; six brothers, M.D of Charlotte, Samuel, Haywood, Wilbert and Johnny of Newberry and Robert Caldwell of Hartford, CT; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Williams of Detroit and Mrs. Margaret Chapman of Washington DC.
