Funeral of Native and Life Long Resident On Tuesday

Charles E. Woodward, native and life-long resident of Stafford county, died at his home near Stafford Court House Sunday morning at 1:30 following an illness of five months. Mr. Woodward was 41 years old.

The deceased was a member of Regester Chapel for many years. Recently he had operated the restaurant and store under the name of Ina's Inn near the Court House. Although he had been sick for a lengthy period his condition did not become serious until recently.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ina Stevens Woodward; two sons, Charles E. Woodward, jr., and Earl Stevens Woodward; three brothers, Andrew J. Woodward, Denver, Colo., William M. Woodward, Richmond, and French E. Woodward, Stafford, and one sister, Mrs. R. G. Dent, Stafford.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at Regester Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Lambert. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The funeral cortège will leave Wheeler and Thompson's at 2 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Stevens, George Stevens, Eddie Dent, Weldon Woodward, Auburn Stevens, William Woodward. Honorary, Dr. Earl Ware, James Ashby, R. H. L. Chichester, Paul R. FitzGerald, W. E. Curtis, W. W. Owens and O. E. Tussing.
