Anna Marie Krause, 94, of Concordia, MO, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Pastor Jacob Mueller officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, Saint Paul Lutheran High School or Good Shepherd Care Community in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Born October 5, 1928, in the Flora community in Lafayette County, MO, Anna Marie was the daughter of the late Edward H. Stockman and Mary Wilhelmine Bargfrede Stockman. On November 16, 1947, she married Wilbert Leo Krause who preceded her in death on February 9, 2006. She lived in Lafayette County her entire life and was the executive secretary to the headmaster at Saint Paul Lutheran High School for 28 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, its Dorcas Society and the church choir. She loved music and was in a band in younger years, learning to play the organ and piano by ear. She enjoyed counted cross stitch, embroidery, gardening and canning but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include three children, Jim Krause (Ann) and Steve Krause (Valerie) of Concordia, and Linda Krause of Henderson, NV; daughter-in-law, Monica Krause of Higginsville, MO; eight grandsons: Kevin Krause (Bridget), Lance Krause, Cody Krause (Sara), Ryan Krause (Dana), Aaron Krause (Dana), Carson Conover (Casey), Ted Krause (Fallon) and Davey Krause (Jessica); 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Merilyn Stockman of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna Marie was preceded in death by one son, David Krause; and three brothers, Leonard J. Stockman, Wilmer H. Stockman and Clarence J. Stockman.
