Craig Allen Therrian, age 66, of St. Ignace, Michigan, died on December 29, 2022, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born in St. Ignace on August 8, 1956, to Robert Thomas and Eunice Lorraine (Larson) Therrian.

Craig grew up in St. Ignace and graduated from LaSalle High School. He attended Lake Superior State University and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in criminal justice. He married the love of his life Jennifer Soblaskey on September 26, 1981, at Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church in St. Ignace. He started training at the Michigan State Police Academy and was stationed in Bridgeport, Michigan, and then transferred to the St. Ignace post where he finished his thirty-year career and retired in February of 2015. He began working as a Zoning Administrator for Moran Twp after retirement for the last seven years.

Craig was a member of Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church, the St. Ignace Lion's Club for twenty years, and served on the advisory board for St. Ignace Recreational Board for twenty-five years.

His greatest accomplishment in his life were his three children. That was evident as he never missed an event of theirs and more than likely he was their coach. He was the first person they would call for advice, whether they had issues with their car or needed help around their house. "A Jack of all Trades and a Master of None" as he would say.

Craig loved the outdoors and enjoyed going to his hunting camp with his sons, brothers, and friends, the annual fishing trips to Canada, golfing, and especially spending time on his pontoon boat. He also was an avid MSU sports fan.

Craig is survived by his wife, Jennifer M. Therrian; sons, Adam Therrian of Howell, Michigan Eric (Megan) Therrian of Chelsea, Michigan; and daughter, Molly (Gerrit) Mortensen of Howell; granddaughter, Maddie Therrian; mother-in-law, Sherrill Soblaskey; brothers, Les (Debi) Therrian, Steve (Joan) Therrian, and Jeff (Sandy) Therrian of St. Ignace; and brothers-in-law, Josh Soblaskey of St. Ignace, Jon (Jackie) Soblaskey of Hessel, Michigan, Jason (Shannon) Soblaskey of St. Ignace, and Jamin (Stephanie) Soblaskey of St. Ignace.

Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eunice Therrian; father-in-law, Alfred Soblaskey; and sister-in-law, Tanya Soblaskey.

Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, beginning at 11 AM, at the Zion Lutheran Evangelical Church, 999 N. State Street, St. Ignace, MI 49781. A Celebration of Life will be held after from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Mackinac Grille, 251 S, N. State Street, St. Ignace, MI 49781.
