ELKHART- Alice R. Dentler, 95, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Sunday January 1, 2023, at Greenleaf Health Campus. She was born September 2, 1927.
Alice was preceded in in death by her parents and a brother. She is survived by her friend and POA, Patricia Rezukto of Elkhart, IN.
Alice received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Manchester College and worked as a schoolteacher for many years in Elkhart at Samuel Strong Elementary School. She was frequently assigned to teach the most difficult children and she enjoyed helping the children with the least. She was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Sorority, enjoyed playing golf and attended Trinity on Jackson Church.
There will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral home is entrusted with her care.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
